Brenna Henry is a dancer, performer, student, and artist. Brenna has been training in dance for 15 years. She received the majority of her training at a small studio in Crescent Springs, Kentucky- Expressions Dance Theater. There, she studied a variety of dance styles, focusing in ballet, lyrical, and contemporary. She competed for 8 years on Expression’s Competition Team – The Sundancers. During this time, she performed countless pieces at competitions across the United States and received different awards and a lot of experience. She expanded her training more in her high years by attending many workshops and master classes.

Brenna attended two programs over the summers that she thinks made a significant difference in her artistry. In 2021 Brenna was accepted into, and attended, the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts. At GSA Brenna was immersed in artistry and spent three weeks studying the art of dance, specifically in the styles of modern, ballet, and African Diaspora dance. The second program that Brenna experienced was the Joffrey San Fransisco Contemporary Ballet Program. Here she studied with Josie Walsh and other outstanding faculty and got to explore the world of Ballet more and experience the classic and new contemporary styles.

Brenna is now attending The Ohio State University as a BFA student in the dance program. She plans to spend four years studying with the OSU dance faculty and diving more into the Art side of dance, rather than the competition side. Brenna is also on a pre-medical track, taking classes to prepare for Med School. Brenna hopes to work in the medical field either in women’s health or dance medicine and wants to dedicate her life to helping others stay in good health.
